Penn Quarter’s newest bar & eatery is a nostalgic “party experience” like no other. The Boardwalk DC, open since last November, is inspired by “Coastal Boardwalks of the past and present,” complete with games, drink, and classic carnival treats.
The Boardwalk DC takes full advantage of its 350-person capacity with events and group offerings. With games ranging from a fortune teller to Pac Man, you can practically hear the seagulls overhead and feel the sand beneath your feet.
Of course, no trip to the boardwalk would be complete without a drink in one hand and something delicious to eat in the other, and the same is true of The Boardwalk DC. Their menu includes craft cocktails, frozen drinks, draft beers, and carnival classics, like hot dogs, popcorn, or an ice cream sandwich.
Notably, this space was previously another local favorite, the Iron Horse. It took the team just nine days to complete the transformation and create The Boardwalk DC, marking a unique DC destination that’s bound to have people talking.
