Recently opened, Balangay serves delicious Filipino cuisine inside Bullfrog Bagels’s Atlas location. Upon arrival, you’ll find an airy, spacious setting adorned with live plants, wine bottles, and chandelier-style lighting.
The menu features modern twists on traditional Filipino dishes. Expect unique, bold flavors in everything from smoked squash soup to fried chicken adobo and special drunken ruron for dessert. Not sure what to order? Opt for the chef’s special portabella burger, which features a mushroom patty topped with moringa mayo, pickled papaya, and cucumber and served with a side of purple yam chips. Pair it with the Spicy Calamansi, a fiery cocktail of tequila, citrus, and chili.
Balangay is open 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Don’t miss happy hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays!
